Alicia Jones is originally from Oglethorpe, Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from Florida State University and her law degree from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. She lives with her two children and grandchild in Cobb, Georgia. 

Alicia's campaign for Superior Court Judge, Southwestern Judicial Circuit, Georgia, is her first run for public office. 

Alicia currently works as a juvenile court judge for Georgia's Southwestern Judicial Circuit. She has previously worked as an assistant district attorney for Georgia's Southwestern Judicial Circuit. 

As a juvenile court judge, oversees all cases involving individuals under 18 who are abused, neglected, or parentless, as well as the emancipation process, and sentencing for certain violent felonies committed by individuals ages 13 to 17.

As an assistant district attorney, prosecuted civil and criminal cases under state law on behalf of the district attorney’s office, supervised legal and clerical staff, and conducted interviews with victims and witnesses in ongoing cases.

Attorney Wesley “Wes” Beamon joins the race for Superior Court

Wesley Beamon is from Sumter County. He has an associate's degree in health studies from Central Georgia Technical College, a bachelor's degree in fire science administration from Waldorf University, and a law degree from Mercer University.  He and his wife Deanna live in Americus.

Wesley is an attorney and founder of Beamon Law, LLC. He is a certified mediator and arbitrator. He previously worked as a firefighter and paramedic with Americus Fire and Emergency Services. He served six years with the U.S. Marine Corps, where he achieved rank of Sergeant.
