Hope Harmon studied political science and government at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2011. She lives in Fitzgerald, Georgia. 


Hope currently serves as Vice Chair of the Ben Hill County Board of Commissioners, representing District 2, Post 2. She was first elected in 2016 and is serving her third term.

Hope currently serves as founder of Act for Change Group, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to impacting communities through educational, economic, and social change. She also founded KaSara's Voice, an advocacy organization that provides resources and support to families following the tragic death of a loved one. Hope hosts "Act 4 Change with Hope Harmon," a podcast and digital show. She also previously worked as a circulation assistant and education coordinator at the Georgia Public Library Service's Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Library, and as a contributing book reviewer for the Fitzgerald Herald Leader.
