What is your position on the minimum wage?

I support raising the minimum wage toward a local self-sufficiency standard. Large, profitable corporations should act sooner, while small businesses receive a gradual phase-in and targeted support. Full-time work should provide a decent, stable life

Supporting each local economy by listening to the people and what they say they need

Encouraging development of tourism opportunities and support for rural Arizona

Advocating for the underserved industries that drive many Arizona economies: agriculture, ranching, construction, technology and energy production

"We can either help steer the economy the way we want or get run over by it. I know which one I prefer."

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

My priorities are to audit ineffective programs, eliminate duplicative agencies and contracts, strengthen oversight of procurement, recover fraud and improper payments, and require measurable results for taxpayer-funded programs. I would protect essential services while redirecting wasteful spending toward classrooms, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I strongly support the Second Amendment and the right of responsible, law-abiding citizens to own firearms. I also support evidence-based measures that protect public safety, including background checks and carefully written red flag laws with strong due-process protections. Gun policy should focus on keeping firearms from people who pose a demonstrated danger without burdening responsible owners.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The goal of the criminal justice system should be public safety, accountability, rehabilitation, and fairness. Victims deserve a meaningful voice and opportunities for repair, while sentences should remain proportional to the harm caused by the offender. For nonviolent and victimless offenses... treatment, restitution, and alternatives to incarceration should be used when they better serve justice, lower costs to taxpayers, and reduce repeat offenses.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Government has a clear responsibility to protect children from online sexual exploitation. That means strong laws, aggressive enforcement, meaningful penalties for predators and platforms that enable abuse, better reporting and monitoring tools, and resources for prevention, education, and victim support. Children’s safety must come before corporate convenience or loopholes.

Supports firearm ownership by responsible, law-abiding citizens, background checks, and red-flag laws with due-process protections.

Believes criminal justice should prioritize public safety, accountability, rehabilitation, fairness, proportional sentences, and alternatives to incarceration for some nonviolent offenses.

Supports strong laws, enforcement, penalties, reporting tools, prevention, and victim support to address online sexual exploitation of children.

Expand telehealth and mobile clinics

Because no one should have to drive 200 miles just to see a doctor.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) I support a strong public healthcare option available to everyone who wants it, while preserving private insurance choices. Medicare, Medicaid, and rural healthcare programs should be strengthened, not eliminated. My goal is universal access to affordable, quality care without forcing everyone into a single government-run system.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Elective abortion in Arizona should remain legal early in pregnancy, with the decision left to a woman and her doctor—not politicians. Later in the term restrictions may be reasonable, but exceptions must protect the mother’s life and health and cover rape, incest, and severe or fatal fetal conditions. We should also reduce abortions by expanding healthcare, contraception, childcare, adoption support, and economic security.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act is an outdated 1873 law that should not be used to impose a nationwide abortion restriction or block lawful medications through the mail. Patients must retain access to FDA-approved drugs for abortion, miscarriage care, and other medical needs. Reproductive healthcare should be regulated through modern law, medical evidence, and patient safety—not an antiquated statute.

A sustainable future means jobs for today and a planet for tomorrow.

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Agree

I agree that human-caused climate change is a serious long-term threat that requires action. Policy should be practical, science-based, and focused on reducing emissions, strengthening water and energy security, improving wildfire and heat resilience, managing water, and accelerating cleaner technologies without placing disproportionate costs on working families, rural communities, or small businesses.

Energy & the Environment

Only citizens and duly authorized individuals should be able to vote. Voting laws should balance two important goals: ensuring that every eligible citizen can reasonably exercise the right to vote and maintaining public confidence in election security. Photo identification can be one method of verification, but any requirement should include accessible, no-cost alternatives so that legally eligible voters are not unnecessarily prevented from participating.

Tribal nations have always been the stewards of this land. Mike will:

Strengthen government-to-government partnerships

Advocate for tribal representation in state decision-making

Senator Rogers is the daughter of a long line of Army officers, in 1976 Lt. Col. Wendy Rogers was commissioned as a 5th-generation military officer into the Air Force from Michigan State University with her bachelor’s degree and then master’s degree from the University of Alabama in Clinical Social Work.

Arizona State Senate Member: Wendy Rogers

In addition to her degrees in social work, Wendy holds a second master’s degree in National Security Studies from Cal State San Bernardino. Wendy and Hal homeschooled their children George and Emily during their elementary years.

Hal is an electrical engineer who originally grew up on a Holstein dairy farm milking cows twice daily till age 18. Since Wendy and Hal relate on so many levels to the wholesome rural lifestyle of the area, they chose to make their retirement home Flagstaff’s Wildwood Hills.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1996 after twenty years of active duty, Wendy and her husband Hal (also a retired Air Force officer) started their own home inspection business. Their crew of Arizona-licensed home inspectors has worked throughout Coconino, Yavapai, Pinal and Maricopa counties.

More Jobs And Better Wages
I support heavily recruiting companies to come to rural Arizona to create jobs. We must protect the free market, keep regulations low, and keep taxes low. I support any and all ways to allow businesses to conduct commerce in Arizona. We must unleash the free market!

Issues

For Rogers, supporting small business is a natural extension of her work representing rural Arizona. Family-owned businesses, ranches, contractors, retailers, restaurants, and service providers form the backbone of communities throughout Legislative District 7.

“Small businesses are the engine that drives Arizona’s economy,” Rogers said. “When government reduces taxes, cuts red tape, and gets out of the way, entrepreneurs can do what they do best: create jobs, serve their communities, and grow our economy.”

Border Security & Cracking Down on Illegal Aliens
We have a major crisis at the border and I will work to address this problem every day I am in office. We must ban sanctuary cities, secure our borders, and take strong action to remove illegal aliens and give our people a safe and secure place to work, live, and prosper.

Defending Your Right to Keep & Bear Arms
Arizona must lead the way in defending our right to keep and bear arms. I will vote against any gun control measure or gun ban. We need more guns, fewer gun-free zones, and stronger protections for gun owners.

Support for Our Veterans & Law Enforcement Officers
As a veteran, I understand that Arizona needs to do more to take care of our great veterans. They put their lives on the line for us, we need to help take care of them and their families. I will always Back the Blue and support more officers, better equipment and getting our law enforcement everything they need to keep us safe and fight crime.

Determined to address the problem, Senator Rogers introduced SB1426 to clarify Arizona law and provide property owners with a faster, more effective process for removing unlawful occupants. The legislation establishes clear standards for determining when someone is an unauthorized occupant and allows courts to move more quickly in qualifying cases. It also directs the Arizona Supreme Court to develop expedited procedures while preserving existing protections for lawful tenants under Arizona’s landlord-tenant laws.

Better Healthcare
I support pre-existing conditions. We need to lower the cost of prescription drugs, provide transparent medical billing, and more healthcare options for our citizens. The time for better healthcare solutions is now.

Stop Medical Tyranny
I strongly support patients’ rights. It’s time to get rid of the “vaccine passports”, abolish mask and vaccine mandates, and open up Arizona – including sending our kids back to school.

Protect Life
I support all laws that protect life in the womb. I believe in life at conception and I believe our laws should protect all living souls, including those who are the most vulnerable in the womb.

Rogers is calling for a coordinated response involving tribal leaders, whistleblowers, law enforcement, state agencies, and federal authorities to identify those responsible, recover stolen taxpayer funds, dismantle fraud networks, and restore public confidence in the system. “We must protect vulnerable patients, recover stolen taxpayer dollars, dismantle these fraud networks, and restore trust in our system,” Rogers said.

Parental Rights & Stopping Child Transgendering
I believe in protecting parental rights and ensuring that parents know what their children are being taught, and have the ultimate say in their children’s upbringing. I will continue to fight any policies that promote new age “gender studies” or enable the transgendering of our children.

Better Education
I support more money for the classroom. We must empower parents, teachers, and local school districts to teach our children. Money must go to the classroom rather than administration, reduce class sizes, recruit better teachers, and promote private, charter, and homeschool options when at all possible.

Opposes policies that promote “gender studies” or gender-transition-related care for children, and supports parental control over children’s upbringing and curriculum information.

Affordable American Energy Including Expanding Oil, Gas & Coal Production
I support expanding oil, gas, and coal production to create jobs and lower our energy costs. Making American energy affordable and reliable is essential to having a strong and prosperous nation.

Election Integrity & Stopping Voter Fraud
I am fighting to ensure our elections are fair and secure. I will work to stop voter fraud and make sure every legal vote counts, including by returning to paper ballots, cleaning the voter rolls, and banning ballot drop boxes.

July 28, 2026

This November, Arizona voters get a long-overdue say on photo radar. I’m asking you to vote YES on Proposition 319 so that we can ban this scam for good.

Right now cities can put up speed cameras and red light cameras without ever asking the people who pay the tickets. Prop 319 changes that so that if a city wants a new camera system, voters have to approve it first. And, if a city already has cameras running, voters get to decide whether they stay, every ten years.
