Elaina Beeman: Candidate for Rome City Commission Ward 2 ...

GHC alumna sworn into the Rome City Commission – GHCToday

Elaina Beeman is a native of Rome, and a life-long servant of the Rome /Floyd County Community. She is a graduate of Anna K. Davie Elementary, West Rome High, Floyd Junior College, Jacksonville State University, Leadership Rome (2000), Leadership Georgia (2011), Leadership Georgia Hospitality Chair (2012) and was the Heart of the Community Award Honoree (2016).  

Beeman is married to fellow GHC alumnus Rickey Beeman and they have three children. She enjoys sewing, shopping and listening to music in her free time.

Elaina is a tax credit manager and education navigator at the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority. 

Elaina is currently a commissioner on the Rome City Commission, representing Ward 2. She was first elected in 2021 and is currently serving her first term. Before her election to the city commission, Elaina was appointed to the Rome/Floyd Planning Commission and served from 2008 until 2013. She also served two elected terms on the Rome City School Board and one term on the Georgia School Board Association as the district 7 Director. 

Supports job creation to develop more recreational activities and nightlife in Rome, such as Topgolf and Dave & Busters.

Economy

Supports creating more social gatherings, commercial recreational activities, and accessible nightlife for all citizens in Rome.

Believes affordable quality housing is essential for families to thrive in Rome.

Supports maintaining the 11 p.m. curfew for minors, but believes legal guardians should be held accountable for "misbehaving" youth without adult supervision.

Randy Quick is from Rome, Georgia. He attended Rome City Schools and graduated from Rome High School. He lives with his husband, a proud Navy veteran, and their three children in East Rome.

Randy is a partner and general manager at Rome Radio Partners, LLC, where he operates six radio stations in Northwest Georgia.
