Medina County Prosecutor

S Forrest Thompson currently serves as the Medina County Prosecutor. He was elected to this position in 2016 and is serving his 2nd term. 

As the Medina County Prosecutor, Thompson reviews the charges individuals are arrested for, determines which cases and charges will be tried in court, drafts and files documents and warrants, prosecutes criminal charges on behalf of the government, and provides sentencing recommendations for convicted felons.

As a solo attorney at his own law firm, Thompson researched, drafted, and filed legal documents and provided defense and counsel to clients, specializing in criminal, civil, domestic, probate, estate planning, elder law, and probate litigation.

- County Prosecutors are attorneys that handle criminal and civil legal action for the people in their county. The County Prosecutor can choose the cases they want to take.
