  • They are also responsible for collecting evidence at the location of death. This includes physical evidence and interviews from witnesses.
  • Coroners are responsible for removing the body from the place of death, and informing their family of their death in a timely manner.
  • Coroners are elected to four year terms in nonpartisan elections.
