Lester is married to his wife Amanda, with whom he has 2 children. He was raised in Pleasant Garden, NC, and attended North Carolina A&T. The Rivenbarks are members of West Asheboro Church of God.

Lester has a background in the construction industry, and worked in his family's electrical business since high school and college. He joined DH Griffin/DARI in 2011, where he progressed from a laborer to lead man, then to supervisor, and is currently the operations manager in the DARI Greensboro office.
