Josie is originally from Louisville. She earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Columbia University. She lives with her husband, Adam, and their 3 kids in the Klondike neighborhood of Louisville. 

Josie has worked as a middle school teacher, a nonprofit director focused on first-generation college students, and a success coach for struggling students at the University of Louisville.
