Full office description
- Soil and water conservation district supervisors are elected to a seven-member board. The purpose of this board is to promote the conservation and management of land, water, trees, and other natural resources of the district.
- District supervisors raise awareness and provide education on conservation and resource management to local citizens.
- District supervisors coordinate local, state, and federal resources and provide other services, programs, and assistance to landowners.
- District supervisors are elected to four-year terms on a staggered basis during non-partisan elections that take place every two years.
- District supervisors work voluntarily and do not receive a salary.
