Carter obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business from Newberry College and an associate's degree from Anderson University. He is married with two daughters and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill

Carter is employed by Urovant Sciences, a biotechnology company, as a senior consultant. He has been in the pharmaceutical industry for 27 years. 

Carter G. Infinger is the County Commission Chair in Bryan County. He was elected in 2016 and has served two terms. Prior to this position, he was elected as a District Commissioner in 2010.

Has renovated Hendrix and Henderson Parks to include new turf fields and a gym. He plans to add two additional baseball fields.
