Stan is a lifelong resident of Newton County, and currently resides in Newton County with his wife and children. He obtained a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's of business administration from the University of Phoenix.

Stan currently manages Jones, Ewing, Dobbs, and Tamplin Insurance Agency’s Covington office. He previously worked for AT&T for over 30 years.

Stan Edwards Jr. has been serving as a Newton County commissioner since 2017. He was elected to the Newton County Board of Education in 2014.
