Curtis has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Morehouse College, and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University. Since 2014, he has lived in LaGrange with his wife, Shaundre, and their family. He currently serves on a number of boards, including the LaGrange Development Authority, Three Rivers Regional Commission, Wellstar West Georgia Hospital, and LaGrange College and Trustbuilding Inc.

Curtis currently serves as a full-time faculty member at LaGrange College’s business department teaching marketing and management classes. He also is an entrepreneur. He founded American Business Development Partners, a consulting firm, and is the director of both Build The Crowd, LLC, and Build The Community, Inc.
