Josh is originally from Bangladesh. He has lived in Georgia since 1987. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from Georgia State University. He lives with his wife, Farzana. They have two children.

Josh Uddin's campaign for state senator is his first entry into politics.

Shawn has an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. Shawn is President of Olympic Pool Plastering & Shotcrete, a pool construction company.
