What experiences have best prepared you to hold elected office?

Starting and running a business. In 2002, CR Solutions had only a few employees and a few clients with revenues of less than $500k per year. By 2017 my partner and I grew the business to over 30 employees, $10+Mil in revenue and more than 100 clients. In my role at CR Solutions I manage the budget, the people and the process/deliverables. I have been integral in the develop of our proprietary software and have built a culture where people love to work and every voice is heard. The next most relevant role is that of treasurer of my church where my main responsibility is managing our budget.

What would be your top priority upon winning office?

Fully funding the Fulton County Board of Registration & Elections to ensure accessible, free and transparent elections . I will support the ACLU’s recommendations to reduce the jail population by ensuring that both our DA’s office and Sheriff’s office are adequately and sufficiently funded. I will look for innovative approaches to instill green initiatives that impact the health and welfare of our entire county such as implementing measures to eliminate forever chemicals and plastics in our drinking water. And perhaps most importantly, I will draw on my experience as treasurer of my church to bring transparency to the budget.

What actions would you take to enhance government transparency and trust in government?

People want to understand how their tax dollars are spent. I will make information on the budget and expenditures readily accessible and presented in a format that is easy to understand. I will spend time in the community speaking to residents, listening to their concerns, and providing them information about what is going on in the county.

Do you believe Georgia elections are secure and what additional security measures can be taken?

I do believe Georgia elections are secure. To maintain the security of our elections we must properly fund the Board of Registration and Elections and appoint the right people to that board. Appointing members to the Board of Registrations and Elections is one of the responsibilities of the Board of Commissioners and not many people know that.

What is government's responsibility to ensure affordable housing?

The government's responsibility to ensure affordable housing is rooted in the principle of providing for the well-being and welfare of its citizens. This includes implementing policies and programs aimed at addressing housing affordability issues, such as subsidies, rent control, zoning regulations, and incentives for affordable housing development. Government officials should seek to collaborate with citizens and stakeholders in the formulation and implementation of policies to ensure they reflect the needs and values of the community.

Do you believe public access to public records is sufficient in your jurisdiction and, if not, what steps do you support to remedy that?

Technical issues, like the recent cyber attack, and a backlog of requests can make obtaining information difficult. First and foremost, it is of the utmost importance that we prioritize cyber security to keep our records safe.
